380: Big Ideas for Fueling Irresistible Corporate Cultures with Jamey Lutz

For the second week in a row, the conversation centers on culture at work, and rightfully so. What with all that’s gone on around the world over the last 15 months, solid culture can be as hard to define as ever.

Jamey Lutz

378: The 8 Step Blueprint To Building A Profitable Personal Brand Business with Mike Kim

I first met Mike Kim at the first-ever Podcast Movement conference in 2014, and I liked him immediately. Unassuming, humble, but incredibly smart and well-spoken. My kinda guy.

Mike Kim

But that ain’t the half of it, as they say.

Mike is someone I have so much respect for. Everything he does, he does with absolute class. He’s an amazing teacher and a fantastic and confident public speaker.

And I love the fact that after meeting him nearly 8 years ago at that “little” conference, he’s finally coming out with a book (just one month before me), making it possible for me to have him on Read to Lead.

Mike’s new book, releasing next week, is called You Are the Brand: The 8-Step Blueprint to Showcase Your Unique Expertise and Build a Highly Profitable, Personally Fulfilling Business.

377: How to Unlock and Activate the Wisdom of Others with Craig Lemasters

My guest today is one of the most understanding and forgiving people I’ve ever met. How do I know? Because, for the first time in nearly 8 years, I had to reschedule an interview. I know. That doesn’t sound like a big deal.

craig lemasters

But by “reschedule,” I really mean schedule a second time. As in, the first time we recorded our chat, something went awry. I was devasted and embarrassed to have to reach out to Craig to say, “Hey, can we do it all over again?”

Craig, however, was incredibly gracious. And, the good news is, I think our interview the second time was even better than the first awesome version you almost heard.

Craig and I dive into his book called Unstuck: How to Unlock and Activate the Wisdom of Others.

In it, Craig shares techniques he has used in a lifetime of helping Fortune 500 companies tackle the challenge of getting unstuck as they struggle to survive and grow.

376: The 8 Pillars of Trust That Drive Results with David Horsager

I’ve had the good fortune to interview a couple of respected leaders on the topic of trust and, on this, they all agree. Trust is absolutely everything.

david horsager

My guest today, however, has taken a unique approach to the topic by combining both a business fable (a la Pat Lencioni, Bob Burg, or Skip Prichard) with the actual framework the fable helps to demonstrate.

The result is a delightful and thought-provoking book called Trusted Leader: 8 Pillars That Drive Results. The author is David Horsager.

Without trust, David says, people and businesses fail. Trusted Leader provides a framework for building trust so that you and your organizations can perform at your best.

The book teaches strategies to increase alignment, overcome attrition, and get absolutely clear on executing your top priorities. David offers a road map for how to become the most trusted expert in your industry.
