As much as I didn’t want to admit it at the time, I’ve been at a point in my career when I realized I had “stalled out.”
Not only was I no longer growing in my skills and abilities, I’d gradually become less and less useful to my company as a result.

I’d come to what co-authors John Hillen and Mark Nevins refer to in their new book as a “career stall.” It was time to reinvent myself, for the organization and for me.
Though I wasn’t able to benefit from their book during my career stall, the good news for you is, you can. You see, you will experience a stall eventually.
