355: Discovering the Hidden Forces That Drive Your Best Work with Todd Henry

There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Todd Henry. He now holds the record for most appearances on the Read to Lead Podcast (at four).

He’s published five books over the last decade, the last four of which have been featured here on the show. The only reason he wasn’t invited on to discuss his first book is simply that Read to Lead didn’t yet exist.

To say I appreciate his work is a major understatement. You’d do yourself a disservice not to check out some of his previous work, including The Accidental Creative, Die Empty, Louder Than Words, and Herding Tigers.

His newest book is called The Motivation Code: Discover the Hidden Forces That Drive Your Best Work.

Todd’s book offers a new framework for understanding what motivates us and why. We don’t need to find the “perfect job” or have the “perfect life” to fulfill our potential. Instead, we can change how we show up in our lives every day – to make the work we do become the work we love.
