Every so often I get to have a conversation with someone I never dreamed I’d be talking to. Today is one of those days.
Several years ago he released a book with a publisher that has since been acquired.
This new publisher decided today’s guest’s book needed a rerelease and we are the beneficiaries of it.
His name is Joel Peterson and his book is called The 10 Laws of Trust: Building the Bonds That Make a Business Great.
Joel says trust is the glue that holds an organization together. It turns deflection into transparency, suspicion into empowerment, and conflict into creativity.
10 Laws of Trust is the playbook for breaking through the operational silos and CYA mentality that plague so many organizations today.

In today’s episode, I ask Joel to share:
- How big a problem exactly is a lack of trust at the typical American company
- How hard is it to change a culture of mistrust into a culture where most people feel they can trust their colleagues and bosses.
- How do millennials react to Joel’s strong positions on trust?
- …and plenty more!
