While the IKEA catalogue is a, well, catalogue, I think the exact same features can be said to apply to books everywhere. It is a new day. Won’t you celebrate with me?
What do you think of IKEA’s new bookbook™? Let me know in the comments.
This page contains the resources that I have found useful in my personal and professional life. Admittedly, it is an eclectic list. It contains everything from quotes and books that I like to podcasts, videos, and slideshows.
If you don’t want to scroll through the entire list, you can click on one of the links below and filter the resources by specific category.
I will update this list as I discover new resources. If you have a resource you think I should add, please email me.

Stress and anxiety at work have less to do with the work we do and more to do with weak management and leadership.
Jeff Goins recently shared having learned this lesson while teaching a course in front of a live studio audience as hundreds more watched online. It is a concept I teach my Podcaster Academy students and one I thought he summarized quite well.

Die Empty: Unleash Your Best Work Every Day (New York: Portfolio / Penguin, 2013)
I’m nearly finished with this book and am loving it immensely, mainly because it goes well beyond merely inspiring the reader but lays out practical guidelines every step of the way for putting what it espouses into practice.

For more, I encourage you to check out my interview with the author, Todd Henry, set to be published on Tuesday, October 22nd.
Recently, I welcomed Lisa B. Marshall on the Read to Lead Podcast (Episode #013). She is an internationally recognized authority on public speaking and effective communication, and is the author of Smart Talk: The Public Speaker’s Guide to Success in Every Situation.
Needless to say, I was thrilled when she invited me to help write content for an episode of her podcast, The Public Speaker: Quick & Dirty Tips for Improving Your Communication Skills (iTunes subscription link). I was especially honored to actually co-host this episode with her, something she virtually never does.
You can listen to the episode by clicking the play button above. In it, I share what I consider to be three of the greatest communication lessons I’ve learned in my 26 years in radio. I’ve enjoyed Lisa’s podcast for over a year and it’s one I can highly recommend to anyone looking to improve in all forms of communication.
