Sometimes I come across someone who has managed to write a number of books that have somehow NOT been on my radar. Today, I get the chance to “fix” that by featuring an author of nearly 15 books to date.

His name is Robert L. Dilenschneider. He’s written books like Decisions, Power and Influence, and The Public Relations Handbook, among others.

His new book is called Nailing It: How History’s Awesome Twentysomethings Got It Together.

He has met some of the world’s most influential people and has studied dozens more who have since come and gone.

Who better to extrapolate the greatest and most important lessons from some of history’s most influential people.

402: Reclaim Control and Make Every Situation a Win-Win with Gail Rudolph

I’ve had the chance, recently, to welcome more and more guests on the show that have been introduced to me by previous guests. It’s a nice problem to have.

Let me take this moment to give a shoutout to Honoree Corder, our guest from just last month in Episode #399. Thanks to Honoree, I get to introduce you to the wonderful book being featured in today’s episode.

That book is called Power Up Power Down: How to Reclaim Control and Make Every Situation a Win-Win. Its author is Gail Rudolph, who can now call herself a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller.

Gail posits that, too often, power situations can feel like a “rock and a hard place” – if you’re too assertive, you’re labeled (at best) as overbearing and unapproachable. If you’re too passive, your voice, ideas, and opinions are ignored.

It’s not often that I get to interview two authors in a single episode. Today’s show, though, is one of those kinds of shows. And we’re incredibly fortunate to have them both.
