The book I’m featuring in today’s episode is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.
I’m two-thirds of the way through the book (about 200 pages in) and have already taken 35 pages of notes. I’ll easily have 50 pages of notes by the time I’m finished.
That book is called The Confident Mind: A Battle-Tested Guide to Unshakable Performance (Inside Mental-Toughness Training at West Point).
The author of this book – his first, but hopefully not his last – is Dr. Nate Zinsser. He is, among other things, the Director of Performance Psychology at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Dr. Zinsser has helped prepare two generations of cadets at West Point for leadership in the U.S. Army.
He has also been the sport-psychology mentor for athletes like two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and the Philadelphia Flyers organization, as well as many Olympians and world champions.
